About Our Salon
Salon 328 is a unisex hair salon located in Abbey Hill (near Edinburgh City centre). It was established in 2007 by Yuk Ching Mathieson (Jenny). Jenny was born in Hong Kong and has lived in Edinburgh for over 25 years. She realised that a lot of British hairdressers were not equipped to deal with Asian hair textures and decided to open her own salon.

Jenny is fully qualified hairdresser and has had many years of experience in the industry. She speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin as she realises how frustrating it can be trying to explain what you want if English is not your first language.
For customers from other asian countries, she is still able to deliver great results due to her experience working with asian hair.
Jenny also has a lot of western clients, and is often called on to deal with difficult, unruly hair. Her specialism is in dealing with thick hair, but she is equally happy working with thinner hair textures.
Vicky S Lee
Hairstylist and Colourist
Vicky is an independent hairdresser who has been fully qualified since 2014 and has finished her HNC qualification in 2015 but has been working as a hairdresser since 2011.
She cuts both ladies and gents hair.
Vicky specialises in Creative Colour such as Ombre/Bayalage and loves to try out different/new colouring techniques.
Occasionally she does mobile hairdressing for clients who struggle to come to the salon but these appointments will usually need to be arranged in advance.
Digital Perms and Permanent Hair Straightening
We are also one of the few hairdressers in the UK and in Scotland who specialises in Permanent Hair Straightening and Japanese Digital Perms. In addition, we use special equipment, top quality products and give each one of our clients expert advice how to care for their hair.
We are always keen to bring in the latest hair styles (Western and Asian) to our clients.
To ensure our clients get their desired look, great passionate care and strong personal attention is given towards each one of our clients.
We have the latest Japanese hair style catalogs for both men and ladies with a large variety of styles to pick from.
Jenny attends hairdressing conferences on a regular basis to update her knowledge and familiarise herself with the latest cutting technology.
